Ankush Arora is an Indian television actor popular for his portrayal of Kartik Barve in Zee TV's Yeh Vaada Raha.
Career
[edit]Arora started off his television journey as he took on to portray Rishi Bhardwaj in Life OK's Gustakh Dil from 2013 to 2014. He then had an episodic role in Bindass's Yeh Hai Aashiqui as Sandeep Chautala.[1]
His breakthrough role came when he portrayed Kartik and Krishna Barve in Zee TV's Yeh Vaada Raha from August 2015. His performance and chemistry with co-star Sonal Vengurlekar was appreciated; Arora was conferred with the Zee Rishtey Award for Favourite Beta. He quit in October 2016 not wanting to play father to a grown-up girl as the show underwent a 20-year-leap and was replaced by Krishna Soni.[1]
In 2016, he was also seen in an episode of Channel V India's Gumrah 4. Two years later, Arora launched his own YouTube channel Video Coutures in March 2018.[2]

Yeh Vaada Raha (transl. It's a promise) is a Hindi-language Indian television drama series that aired on Zee TV from September 21, 2015, to 20 January 2017. It is where the main characters, Karthik and Survi were shown in their previous birth and they are now reborn as Karthik and Survi. The show initially focused on the love story of Survi (Sonal Vengurlekar) and Karthik (Ankush Arora). However the show then took an eight-year leap after Survi's death and her daughter, Khushi, who was seven years old, has grown up (also led by Vengurlekar) and marries Abeer (Zain Imam), the new male lead of the show.[1] it was replaced by Woh Apna Sa.
Premise
[edit]The show started off with the story of its main protagonists, Survi Mohite and Kartik Barve. After a generation leap, it focused on the love story of their daughter, Khushi, and Abeer Dharmadhikari.
Plot
[edit]Survi, aged 9 is mature and responsible, raised by Shrikant. Kartik, aged 19 is impulsive and childish. In an unfortunate event, the police shoots his uncle Digambar to death; his aunt Kamla blames Shrikant and vows revenge. He and Survi forcibly move to Dubai. Kartik promises Kamla to care for the family.
